City Impact has been passionate about helping children in poverty since 1984. We are unswerving in our commitment to conduct this ministry in a manner that glorifies God. We make the following commitments to you, our valued child sponsor.

Every child who participates in a City Impact program is given the opportunity to learn about Jesus and discover how to develop a lifelong relationship with God.

We commit to use money only for the purpose for which it was raised. The concept of child sponsorship implies that the funds will be used to develop the children who are sponsored.

We commit to being financially accountable. We take our role as stewards of resources seriously. We regularly perform audits to ensure that programs are well-managed and funds are properly disbursed and applied. We are also audited annually by an independent certified public accounting firm.

We commit to give every child in our program a chance to respond to the gospel. Poverty sends a defeating, painful message into the heart of a child — a message that says, “I don’t matter.” Introducing children to their loving, heavenly Father is the most powerful way of reversing this message.

You will receive a welcome kit with the student you are sponsoring. We may also invite you to check out our Sponsorship portal and further connections by serving within our SFCI programs.

Your sponsored child will have the opportunity to receive different services such as:

A Christian-based private education and additional resources to best serve them and their family. We are a community-centered program that values the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of each child.

Healthcare Services by volunteers and staff such as dental, vision screenings, hygiene kits etc.

Life Skills through empowering children with social interactions, educational camps and community service opportunities.

We also provide brand new clothing, access to organic groceries and experiences through our various outreaches.

Child sponsorship offers you the opportunity to sponsor a child for a number of years. Our program typically lasts through the school cycle until he or she graduates from 8th grade.

Please understand that sometimes a sponsored child’s circumstances may change. For example, families move to a new city or area, and children have to leave our child sponsorship program. In this case, we would extend the option to transfer your sponsorship to another child in need or give you the option to discontinue your sponsorship.

While we are immensely grateful for the generosity of sponsors like you, we have made a conscious decision not to accept individual gifts for students. Our primary goal is to foster a learning environment that upholds principles of fairness, equality, and community cohesion.

Accepting gifts for specific students can inadvertently create disparities and feelings of inequality among the student body. We believe in providing all students with an equal opportunity to thrive, and the acceptance of individual gifts can introduce a dynamic that may lead to favoritism or unintentional divisions.

By maintaining a policy of not accepting gifts for students, we aim to uphold the values of a level playing field, where each student's success is based on their individual efforts and merits. This approach aligns with our commitment to academic integrity, community building, and the belief that success should be earned through personal dedication.
